Country
-Your country ain't your blood. Remember that
-It seems in today's world, the power to absolve debt is greater than the power of forgiveness
-Power wears out those who don't have it
Family
-A man who doesn't spend time with his family can never be a real man
-I have a sentimental weakness for my children and I spoil them, as you can see. They talk when they should be listening
-Never tell anybody outside the family what you're thinking again
-Υou're my older brother and I love you. But don't ever take sides with anyone against the family again. Ever
-Tonight this family settles its accounts
-I command this family, right or wrong. It was not what I wanted!
-I never wanted this for you. I work my whole life--I don't apologize--to take care of my family, and I refused to be a fool, dancing on the string held by all those bigshots. I don't apologize--that's my life--but I thought that, that when it was your time, that you would be the one to hold the string
-I will never work for you. I have bad memories. I'll always be your son, but I will never have anything to do with your business
Society
-Times change. These days, we learn from the philanthropists like the Rockefellers. First you rob everybody, then you give to the poor
-All my life I kept trying to go up in society. Where everything higher up was legal. But the higher I go, the crookeder it becomes. Where the hell does it end?"
-You know, now that you're so respectable, I think you're more dangerous than you ever were. In fact, I prefer you when you were just a common Mafia hood
-He hated foundations. He loved doing it by himself, man to man
-I have always believed helping your fellow man is profitable in every sense, personally and bottom-line
Business
-This is the business we chose
-It makes no difference to me what a man does for a living, understand
-I don't like violence. I'm a businessman. Blood is a big expense
-Certainly, he can present a bill for such services. After all, we're not Communists
-A lawyer with his briefcase can steal more than a hundred men with guns
-The negotiator's at my house playing pinochle with some of my men, he's happy. They're letting him win
-I'm gonna make him an offer he can't refuse
-I guess I'm getting too old for my job. Too grouchy. Can't stand the aggravation
-I'm going to take a nap. When I wake up, if the money is on the table, I'll know I have a partner. If it isn't, I'll know I don't
-You will not give -- I'll take! As for him, well he makes it very clear to me today that he is my enemy. You must choose between us
-I got a stone in my shoe. A two-bit punk who works for me. The one who thinks he's related to you. A bastard
Politics
-Politics and crime -- they're the same thing
-Even the strongest man needs friends.... Politics is knowing when to pull the trigger
Education
-Whatcha go to college? To get stupid? You're really stupid!
Health
-I don't trust a doctor who can hardly speak English
-Good health is the most important thing. More than success, more than money, more than power
-I'd give four million just to be able to take a piss without it hurting
Religion
-Every time I put my line in the water I said a Hail Mary, and every time I said a Hail Mary I caught a fish.
Love
-Oh, this is too violent for me!
-She was beautiful! She was young. She was innocent. She was the greatest piece of ass I ever had, and I've had'em all over the world!
-Women are more dangerous than shotguns.
-So, what do you think of my angel? You're happy, I'm happy.
-No, I don't hate you. I dread you
-You have to understand I had a whole different destiny planned... I'm not the man that you think I am... I love you. Don't dread me anymore
-You gotta go, you gotta go
-I've lost all the venom, all the juice of youth. I've lost all the lust for women and now my mind is clear
Friends
-Some day, you may have to do a difficult service for me
-Do me this favor. I won't forget it. Ask your friends in the neighborhood about me.
They'll tell you I know how to return a favor.
-Maybe we shouldn't get him mixed up in this too directly...
-If you had come to me in friendship, then this scum that ruined your daughter would be suffering this very day
-There are many things my father taught me here in this room. He taught me: keep your friends close, but your enemies closer.
-I don't feel I have to wipe everybody out, Tom. Just my enemies.
-Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in. Our true enemy has not yet shown his face
-We gladly put you at the helm of our little fleet, but our ships must all sail in the same direction. Otherwise, who can say how long your stay with us will last. It's not personal, it's only business.
-When they come, they'll come at what you love
-Never hate your enemies -- it effects your judgment
-Your enemies always get strong on what you leave behind
-The richest man is the one with the most powerful friends
-I want you to sell your soul to him. To betray me
Me
-Call a meeting, my friend, so there are no debts or grudges -- we will make the peace, you and I
-Blessed is the peacemaker, for he can be called a child of God
-Leave the gun. Take the cannoli
-I love you, cuz" / "I love you, too, cuz
-I would burn in Hell to keep you safe
-He is a man who insists on hearing bad news immediately
-Why was I so feared, and you were so loved?
-You could act like a man.
-Only don't tell me you're innocent. Because it insults my intelligence and makes me very angry.
-It's safer to teach you English!
-If anything in this life is certain, if history has taught us anything, it is that you can kill anyone.
-I saw a strange thing today. Some rebels were being arrested. One of them pulled the pin on a grenade. He took himself and the captain of the command with him. Now, soldiers are paid to fight; the rebels aren't. / What does that tell you? /It means they could win.
-I suppose I always knew you were too smart to let any of them ever beat you
-Don't overestimate the power of forgiveness
-I'll change; I'll change. I've learned that I have the strength to change.
-This I cannot do
